love is an endless mystery. my life is my art, my prayer, a hymn. i cry often
because i am tenderly wired to feel all things. i sing out loud every day.
my father is my muse. i am living my way into the answers. there are miracles all around
and abounding. i want to be a better person. love makes everything else possible.
i am grateful to be alive. my soul is my north star, my lightness of being
My name is Madelyn and I am a writer and photographer living in my ‘sea to sky’ city of Vancouver, British Columbia. My curiosity propels me to take my camera along, capturing all that is quirky, beautiful and wondersome in the world. I am passionate about morning coffee, polaroid, film, poetry, treehouses, vinyl records, peonies, old movie theaters, public radio, mopeds, thunderstorms, green and violet, damascus red and loooong roadtrips.
Nothing brings me greater happiness than a warm and languid Sunday morning listening to records, working in my studio, picking up film from the lab and poking about thrift shops and art galleries.
My photography is represented by Getty images and can be seen in publications and on book covers around the world. My writing has been featured in several publications including Life Images, Artful blogger, Indian Se and Somerset Life magazine.
I live in a house by the sea filled with my friends art, music, my boy and my girl, a labradoodle named Roxy ~ and a rabbit!
As an artist I am lured by ways to illuminate beauty exploring my artistic sensitivity through photography, writing and short films.
I am currently working on my book ‘The Art of Living Cheerfully.’
