the sea of swing

this morning (this SUNDAY morning I might add) there was coffee and breakfast buns at the beach and dallying around playing dj which was completely wonderful ~ if you stop by my house today you will discover a fire burning in my fireplace, the scent of cinnamon coffee and a very messy floor filled with my project I am designing for wishstudio ~ I am feeling admittedly a bit tired and looking forward to a guinness and pizza at the pub this evening and perhaps a film at the movies no less followed by a long walk on the beach ~ what are you up to as I am quite curious?

Your love for Sundays has made me appreciate them more than I ever have. I’m currently enjoying a super lazy Sunday. With the clock change, I didn’t get out of bed until 11:00. We ate lunch at 2:00. We played cards. Later, I’ll be watching a movie on the couch while I crochet an afghan. Nothing exciting but perfect just the same. Enjoy the Guinness, the pizza, the movie and the beautiful moonlit walk.

Breakfast buns at the beach:) Sounds very cheery!
Reading and resting have been the keywords for today. One brisk short walk and watching a bit of Top Chef…

I’m afraid my Mother’s Day was spent at work. Unfortunate but true

I have been hanging about the house the entire day. I’m putzing at some projects, doing a little (emphasis on little) cleaning, and snapping an occasional photo.
Have a sweet week!

I did some yoga–I love Sunday yoga sessions as I can take as long as I wish. Then made a batch of granola to eat with strawberries and Greek yogurt
After that, I went to the grocery store to get the fixin’s for chili, which is cooking on the stove for dinner. Am also baking some corn muffins in the oven to go along with the chili.

your day sounds quite lovely
mine was windows open !!! (in march, quite unheard of really) sunny brunch and taking my son for his very first drive in the sunlight followed by ice cream and lots of warm family laughter … and now we are hunkered down to watch a movie and eat yummy soup!

love the tales of sunday too – today i slept late, drove 90 miles to see if cherry trees were blooming yet (they were not), purchased forsythia and irises, shopped a bit and came home to make dinner. it was a good day.

Blessed duet, blessed Benny, blessed day full of cleaning & open windows & doors & blooming trees outside and paperwhites popping up everywhere, and sitting in the sun in an old aqua child’s chair, Maggie the cat on my lap, us getting in as much quiet quality time together as we can, and yes, I even bought her ice cream this evening.
