I am ridiculously happy today

summer jazz and cherries captured with my sx70 polaroid vintage camera, artistic TZ film
this morning…music notes, glints and glimmers,
the soft spoken light, (no rain) tiny violets yawning
and frozen summer peaches
yesterday afternoon one of my photography students said
“i look for needles in a haystack”
explain? i said
“well, unexpected beauty in a day that is easy to ignore”
yes, of course

ahhh, that photo is balm to my eyes
when I create a blurry photo I love it and then start to doubt that it is OK to do blurry, as ‘real’ photographers do super sharp pics, but then when I see a photo like this I sigh with relief, it is OK, it is beauty, the faded, distant, unfocused beauty and someone else sees it too and it is so good.
so glad I visited.
I gather your photo course with the kids is going well, I am pleased for you

i love intentional blur shona ~ and expecially with polaroid
since it seems to lend itself to the vintage romance of the
overall look
almost as if softening the details simmers it down to it’s
essence ~ more poetry
oh! my course is just igniting me i cannot tell you
just brimming over with joy with this class thank you:)

Such a lovely photo with beautiful colours. The blur, I love how you describe it as poetry. It completely is.
I love too the quote from your student. It gives me warm fuzzies to know that there are people out there looking for the good in things, when all the media tells us is the bad.
